2013 STONESTREET “ESTATE” CABERNET SAUVIGNON
A model wine from Sonoma County’s renowned Alexander Valley AVA, Stonestreet’s reputation for excellence spans more than two decades. It was founded by wine country luminary Jess Stonestreet Jackson in 1995, and Jackson’s legacy and portfolio of wineries include icons Verite, Lajota, Cardinale and Kendall Jackson to name just a few… One twirl of the glass reveals a complex fragrance armed with an arsenal of blueberries, crushed rock, black cherries and espresso. Displaying stunning elegance and unrestrained focus, Stonestreet’s 2013 Estate Cabernet should not be overlooked at $29.99/btl… We like it so much that we’re now pouring it by the glass at our Yountville store.
Arising from a vineyard located on the western ridge of the Mayacamas Mountain range, towering over the Alexander Valley, Stonestreet’s Estate Cabernet showcases the extraordinary terroir of this crown jewel site. Housed for 18 months in oak barrels, the 2013 is really starting to show its stuff… Winemaker Lisa Valtenbergs has done it again, with this terrific release.

2013 STONESTREET "ESTATE" CABERNET SAUVIGNON
From Vinous, "The 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate is a gorgeous, entry-level wine for the estate. Dark cherry, plum, mocha, licorice, spice and gravel are all pushed forward. This is an unusually forward wine although there is plenty of the typical savory/graphite notes that are so typical of this site." 91 Points
From Robert Parker's The Wine Advocate, "The 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate from Monument Ridge is 98% Cabernet Sauvignon aged 18 months in 37% new French oak. It is an outstanding wine, with the oak pushed to the background. Notes of crushed rocks, spring flowers, blackcurrants, plums, and Asian spice are followed by a rich, full-bodied, pure and impressive Cabernet. It should drink well for at least 15 or 20 years." 90 Points
