2013 SOJOURN “OAKVILLE” CABERNET SAUVIGNON
This absolutely brilliant wine emanates from the esteemed Oakville Ranch Vineyard… A vineyard planted by veteran vineyard manager Phil Coturri whom Sonoma Magazine called “the ubiquitous wizard of sustainable winemaking.” One of wine country’s most sought after grape-growing consultants, Phil’s list of clients include A-list Vineyards Harlan and Araujo to name a couple… Conjured from Napa Valley’s prized Oakville AVA, an area considered to be at the nucleus for Grand Cru quality Cabernet Sauvignon, Sojourn stunningly proportioned Oakville Cabernet perfectly voices the essence of what makes Oakville so desired.
Maturing for 20 months in Darnajou and Taransaud barrels, this beauty spent the first 4 weeks fermenting on the skins, contributing to the wines profound length and fleshy texture. Flaunting a vivid perfume accented by seductive blue fruits, blackberry, creme de cassis, and white chocolate, velvety, supple tannins bankroll the wine’s long, luxurious finish. If you’re on the lookout for a classic Oakville Cabernet without the soaring price tag that often comes with them… This is it.

2013 SOJOURN "OAKVILLE" CABERNET SAUVIGNON
From Robert Parker's The Wine Advocate, "The 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon Oakville emerges from the Oakville Ranch Vineyard at an elevation between 1,000 and 1,400 feet. This cuvée of 425 cases shows the classic Oakville Christmas fruitcake, crème de cassis, spice box and earth. It is rich, opulent, full-bodied, with silky tannins and a long finish. It should drink well for 10-15 years." 92 Points
