2013 BACIO DIVINO “NAPA VALLEY” PROPRIETARY RED
$99.99 $99.99
Unfurling a haunting bouquet of baked raspberries, pulverized blackberries, incense, and subtle truffle, Bacio Divino harnesses Cabernet Sauvignon from Beckstoffer Heritage Vineyards as well as the winery’s Estate vineyard located near Switchback Ridge and Hourglass, then combines added dimensions of Sangiovese and Cabernet Franc, resulting in a one-of-a-kind, compelling blend. It’s authored by Kirk Venge, who was named “One of the Top 20 New Winemakers in the World” by Food & Wine Magazine. This gorgeously opulent wine and has already earned a stellar 95 point score from Robert Parker… At $30/btl below the winery retail, I strongly recommend a case.
With more than 20 vintages under their belt, and a slew of extraordinary reviews, Bacio Divino has amassed a loyal and devoted following for their unique style of adding a Sangiovese element to their Cabernet. After a textbook growing season in 2013, the final blend topped off at 90% Cabernet Sauvignon, 7% Sangiovese and 3% Cabernet Franc and was kept for 21 months in Taransaud French oak barrels before bottling. The 2013 is utterly irresistible right now and promises another 7-8 years of development ahead of it.
