2019 SINEGAL ESTATE NAPA VALLEY CABERNET SAUVIGNON

a black and red logo
“The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon is every bit as magnificent as it was last year. A heady, statuesque wine, the 2019 captures all the pedigree of the vintage. Inky red cherry fruit, mocha, licorice and spice race across the palate. The 2019 is bright, deep and powerful, with exceptional balance and tons of class. It’s a stunning wine, to say the least. The move towards a slightly less pushed style, with less overt oak signatures, has paid off big time. This is a fabulous showing.”

2018 BOOKER FRACTURE SYRAH, PASO ROBLES

logo
Another magical wine, the 2018 Fracture is based on 100% Syrah brought up in new and used French oak. Deep purple-hued, with beautiful notes of crème de cassis, blackberries, vanilla bean, toasted spices, white flowers, and a hints of charcuterie, this beauty hits the palate with full-bodied richness, perfectly integrated oak, a rounded, lush mouthfeel, and a great finish. This unabashedly Paso Robles Syrah brings loads of fruit yet stays balanced, elegant, and is simply a thrill to drink.”

Youthful purple. Heady, spice-accented aromas of blackberry, blueberry cherry liqueur and pungent flowers show excellent clarity and energetic lift. Sappy and penetrating on the palate, displaying sharply defined black/blue fruit, violet pastille, cola and exotic spice flavors that turn livelier as the wine opens up. Finishes extremely long, smoky and minerally, with powerful, spicy thrust, a repeating floral note and gently chewy, polished tannins.”

2019 RICHARD G. PETERSON SANTA LUCIA HIGHLANDS PINOT NOIR

a black and red logo
“The 2019 Pinot Noir is racy and exuberant right out of the glass. Crushed flowers, sweet red berry fruit, blood orange, rose petal, mocha and spice abound. Racy and ripe, yet also understated the Pinot is absolutely joyous in 2019.”

This is really beautiful and balanced with bright fruit and hints of orange peel. Medium-bodied with creamy tannins and a long, flavorful finish. Bright acidity. Best ever. Such finesse and brightness. Drink now.”

2019 MORLET MA PRINCESSE RUSSIAN RIVER VALLEY CHARDONNAY

logo
The 2019 Chardonnay Ma Princesse comes from the Russian River Valley (Ritchie Vineyard), and it’s another terrific Chardonnay. Stunning stone fruits, white flowers, green almond, chalky mineral, and a beautiful sense of salty, mineral, marine-like character all define the bouquet, and it’s medium to full-bodied, with a tight, backward mouthfeel and a great finish. It needs at least another year in the cellar, but it’s going to deliver the goods through 2033.”

Ma Princesse comes from the Ritchie vineyard in Russian River, planted to Old Wente clone selection, from vines that are 50+ years old. A barrel sample to be bottled in February 2021, the 2019 Chardonnay Ma Princesse needs a little swirling to unlock gorgeous scents of lemon meringue pie, lime cordial and honeydew melon with wafts of toasted almonds, brioche and nutmeg. The medium to full-bodied palate has a decadent oiliness to the texture with just enough freshness to lift the ripe, rich melon and toast flavors with a long finish. 400 cases are due to be made.”

2018 DOMAINE FABIEN COCHE LES CHAVALIERES MEURSAULT

Importer’s Notes, “Beautiful, complex nose. On the attack from the moment it enters your mouth, vibrant, fresh and exotic. Flavors of ginger, clove. and comice pear. The finish is amazing, including a blast of liquefied ginger candy at the back. This is a serious wine of structure, strength and balance, just a power shot of flavor. His parcel sits on the hillside, sloping down towards a small stream, facing east. Aged 12 months in 10% new barrels, then racked into neutral oak barrels and aged for an additional 8 months.”

2019 ACCENDO CELLARS NAPA VALLEY SAUVIGNON BLANC

a black and red logo
The 2019 Sauvignon Blanc is rich, creamy and super-expressive from the outset. A healthy dollop of Sémillon give the 2019 striking depth and nuance. Lemon confit, tangerine oil, mint and a dash of tropical fruit all meld together in this beautifully balanced, harmonious Sauvignon Blanc. Harvest stretched into early September, which is on the later side. Vineyard sources are Ryan’s in Oak Knoll and Rancho Pequeño in Oakville. In 2019, the Araujos, along with longtime winemaker Françoise Peschon crafted a Sauvignon Blanc of unreal complexity and finesse.”
